About
Why AmanaVault exists
How many people in your close circle have passed away in the last few years? How many left behind young children, a spouse, parents who depended on them?
If you’re like most of us, the number isn’t zero. And it usually isn’t elderly people who’ve lived full lives. It’s brothers in their thirties and forties. Cousins. Fathers of kids your kids played with last summer.
The grief is held by the community. What’s harder to watch is the operational chaos that follows — banks that won’t release information, insurance policies nobody can find, accounts frozen for months while the estate works its way through the legal system. The family is trying to grieve and hunt for paperwork at the same time.
These are not negligent men. They’re responsible fathers who hadn’t yet sat down and made their financial lives findable. Most of us haven’t. The standard system in Muslim households is a spreadsheet in a drawer, or nothing — and we keep meaning to fix it.
When the records aren’t there, the consequences are real. Estates get tied up in probate. Assets without proper beneficiary designations face delays and unnecessary tax. And worst — when there’s no clear documentation, default legal formulas distribute estates in ways that don’t match Islamic Faraid. The wasiyyah you intended goes nowhere because nobody knew about it.
AmanaVault is built to fix this. You organize your accounts, debts, insurance, documents, and Islamic instructions in the web app. It generates an Estate Brief — a comprehensive, encrypted PDF — and a printed Letter of Instruction that lives with your will. When the time comes, your family finds the letter, opens the Brief, and knows exactly what to do, in the right Islamic order: funeral, debts, zakat, wasiyyah, Faraid.
It’s not a will — it complements one. It doesn’t calculate Faraid; it collects what your scholar needs. It can’t make probate disappear. What it can do is make sure your family acts with clarity instead of grieving and hunting at the same time.
That’s what AmanaVault is, inshaAllah, for our community.
